Performance
Founded in 2015, Sleight Ensemble is a group of composer/performers focused on the realization of new music in the San Francisco Bay Area. Featuring Erika Oba (flute), Stephanie M. Neumann (saxophones and voice), and Jacob Lane (piano). The ensemble’s performances have included concerts at UC Davis, Santa Clara University, The Center for New Music (S.F.), The Simm Series (S.F.), Octopus Literary Salon (Oakland), The Musical Offering (Berkeley), and The Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists. They collaborated with artists including visual artist Alan Zignoto, composer/visuals artist Jessie Austin, composers Julie Herndon, Kian Ravaei (2020 call for scores winner), and Stephen Parris, violinist Mia Bella D’Augelli, and cellist Devon Thrumston.

The Oak Wind Saxophone Quartet was a Bay Area based ensemble that performed a wide variety of jazz, classical, and contemporary repertoire with an emphasis on original compositions. Each member brought a unique voice to the collective sound. Members included: Stephanie M. Neumann (soprano saxophone), Nora Stanley (alto saxophone), Eli Maliwan (tenor saxophone), and Carolyn Walter (baritone saxophone).
